186 Unit Independent Living site sold to Seabury

 

Simsbury, CT, August 27, 2015– Senior Living Development LLC engineered the sale of 15 acres on Powder Forest Drive in Simsbury, CT to Seabury at Powder Forest LLC which closed last Thursday.   The site is zoned for 186 independent/assisted living residences and will be considered for possible future development by Seabury after the expansion at their existing community in Bloomfield.  Senior Living Development LLC engineered and designed the concept plan used in obtaining the zone change while securing Seabury as the purchaser.

The Town of Simsbury has looked favorably upon this use to meet the demand of senior housing and created a flexible Planned Area Development regulation to accommodate desirable uses with zoning guidance.  The use will provide tax revenues without the burden of many town services associated with typical housing.
